Tre’ Tailor announces “Relax, It's Ok 2b Single" Valentine's Day Gala

Media personality Tre’ Tailor and Relax, It’s Ok 2b Single are busy planning a weekend of events designed to give local singles reasons to come together over Valentine’s Day weekend.

The group will host its first Singles Gala on Saturday, February 11 from 7:00pm until midnight at the Brookland Baptist Banquet and Conference Center in West Columbia, South Carolina.  The event will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres, a panel discussion and live music by The Reggie Sullivan Project.

“We are inviting singles ministries from several Columbia area churches to come together for this inaugural event in hopes of bringing together a diverse group of people to meet and socialize, but also engage in serious conversation about issues unique to single people,” said Tailor.  “Of course, it is Valentine’s Day and that brings romance to mind, but this is about much more than that.”

Tailor, who is single, created Relax, It’s Ok 2b Single as a forum for singles to engage in conversation that leads to healing, meaningful communication and connections on a higher level.  “I think we often spend too much time focused on finding Mister or Miss ‘Right’ without first finding Mister or Miss ‘Me,’” said Tailor.  “Then, we really need to communicate with each other about more than just the typical dating stuff. Flowers, dinner and dancing can all be a part of building lasting relationships, but there is much more.”

Tailor wants the February gala, and all Relax, It’s Ok 2b Single events to cut across racial, gender, socio-economic and other dividing lines.  “This will be a great opportunity for singles to enjoy good food, good conversation and the wonderfully talented Reggie Sullivan’s music,” said Tailor.
