As part of the event, attendees contributed non-perishable food items and more to help the less fortunate during the holiday season. A group from Relax dropped off the donations at Harvest Hope Food Bank on Thursday, December 22nd. "During the holiday season, it's important for everyone to remember that no matter how bad things might be for us, there are others who are struggling more," said Tailor. "We just wanted to do something to help make a difference."
Harvest Hope's government relations and grants manager Mary Louise Resch happily accepted the donations on behalf of the organization and gave the group from Relax, It's Ok 2b Single a tour of the warehouse and emergency food pantry located on Shop Road. It was an emotional experience for some members. "The things we learned about hunger in South Carolina were eye-opening and humbling," said Tailor. "We intend to come back and do some volunteer work with Harvest Hope."
